Prior to discussing MAT 2021 cutoff, we will first put some light on the MAT paper and its characteristics. MAT exam scorecard has six types of scores which include Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Composite Score, and Indian & Global Environment. The first four scores are out of 100 marks, and the composite score is calculated using the scores of the first 4 sections and is out of 800. A corresponding percentile is given for each of the 6 scores. The cutoff marks for various colleges are always based on the composite score, thus is out of 800.

MAT 2021 cutoff: What trends say?

As we have already told in previous articles the difficulty of an exam is inversely proportional to the cutoffs, i.e. the easier the paper and the higher the cutoff, and vice-versa. MAT is relatively easier to solve hence the cutoffs for most of the colleges vary from 500 to 750.

Factors determining MAT cutoff

Like other management entrance exams, certain factors affect the cutoff of the MAT 2021 exam. These include the total number of candidates who appeared in the exam, the total number of available seats in various participating management institutes, the overall difficulty of the exam, etc.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 2021 Exam Dates: IBT (August – September)

The IBTs will be conducted in two slots: 10 AM to 12:30 PM and 4 PM to 6:30 PM.
