• Candidates must register themselves on the official CAT website www.iimcat.ac.in, by providing their email ID and mobile number. After successful registration, candidates will receive an auto-generated email containing their User ID and password on the registered email address.
• After logging in with the provided credentials, candidates will be able to access the CAT 2026 application form.
• Candidates will be required to fill in personal details, academic history, work experience (if applicable), and preferred programmes.
• Candidates will need to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned in the official CAT 2026 notification.
• Candidates will have to pay the application fee online using a Credit Card, Debit Card, or net banking.
• Once the payment is successfully completed, candidates can download and print the filled-in application form and keep it safely for future reference.

CAT 2026 Application Fee

The tentative application fee for the CAT 2026 exam is expected to be Rs. 2,600 for candidates belonging to the General/EWS/NC-OBC category and Rs. 1,300 for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category. The final application fee will be confirmed in the official CAT 2026 notification.
