Apply for CMAT – Online Registration, Exam Fee Details, Application Process, Document Uploading, and Fee Payment

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a three-hour computer-based online test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The sections of the exam include Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness through which a candidate is evaluated. Hence this examination is a gateway to many reputed B-schools. Another important thing worth noting is that CMAT exam is now conducted once a year.

How to apply for Common Management Admission Test (CMAT):

The candidates can apply for the CMAT exam through “online” mode only. It is a 4-steps process. Here is how you can apply for the CMAT exam:

Online Registration You need to register online with a mobile number and an email id.
Application Form Fill the application form. Also, keep a note of the application number generated after the form is filled
Document uploading You will then have to upload necessary documents like –

  • your recent photograph (color/black and white, the file size should be between 10 Kb – 200 Kb, white background)
  • your signature (file size should be between  4 Kb to 30 Kb)
  • in case of PwD (certificate in jpg/jpeg format with a file size between 50 Kb to 300 Kb)
Fee Payment You will then have to pay the exam fee online through a Credit card/Debit card/Net Banking/UPI/Wallet

Instructions for filling online Application Form

  1. Candidates have to apply for CMAT-2022 “Online” ONLY by accessing the website: cmat.nta.nic.in. The Application Form other than online mode would not be accepted in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected.
  2. It is suggested that the candidate should keep the following ready before starting the filling of the Application Form:
    • A computer with proper internet connectivity
    • The particulars of a valid Government ID proof
    • The Date of Birth (as mentioned in the Class X Board Certificate)
    • Govt Identity Details like Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits)/Election Card (EPIC No.)/Passport number/Ration Card Number/ Bank Account Number/PAN Number/ Other valid Govt IDs.
    • Educational/Qualification details
    • Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb) either in color or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background
    • Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb) PwD certificate (file size: 50kb to 300kb) in jpg/jpeg format.
    • List of City of your choice (Refer Annexure-IV for Cities) Bank account details for payment of a fee.
    • A valid e-mail Id as important communications will be made on this e-mail Id A valid mobile number as important information via SMS will be sent to this number.
    • A valid debit/credit card or Net banking account for ONLINE payment.

Eligibility criteria for the CMAT exam:

The candidate should be a citizen of India. The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree, whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for the academic year 2022-23, can also apply for CMAT-2022.
