Management Aptitude Test (MAT) Exam 2022: Selection Procedure

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national level examination through which various B-schools screen candidates for admission to MBA programs. The All India Management Association (AIMA) conducts the MAT exam every year. It is also one of the most popular management entrance exams in India. MAT exam is held four times a year for selecting candidates for management programs.

MAT 2022: Selection procedure steps

• Registering for the MAT exam and selecting five MAT participating colleges as preference
• Appearing MAT exam (February, May, September, or December)
• Participating in GD/PI/WAT round of the institutes selected as preference in the application form

MAT 2022: Documents Required

There are certain pre-requisites for admissions rounds. It is advised that the candidates should know them to avoid last-minute panic. Any college which has shortlisted you and called you for WAT, GD, and PI rounds may expect the following documents from you:

• MAT 2022 Admit card
• MAT 2022 Score card
• Academic Certificates of Class X & XII, Graduation, etc.
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Medical certificates.
• Bank draft as per the guidelines mentioned in MAT Brochure
• Passport size photographs: Color and Black and White.

MAT 2022 Selection Procedure 2022: Detailed Description

1. Once MAT results are out, the MAT selection procedure will start.
2. The participating colleges will release their cutoff list.
3. Each MAT 2022 participating institute has its own selection process and candidates must check it on the respective websites.
4. The selection process starts after the MAT result and cutoff for MAT 2022 are released.
5. Candidates need to pay a counseling fee online for each of the colleges they are interested in applying for.
6. There are two types of modes through which candidates can go through the selection process.

1. Offline Mode

• Candidates can get Assistance Form from designated MAT centres to go physically for the MAT counselling
• They must choose a set of preferred colleges from the list of MAT 2022 participating institutes.
• Secure the seat that is allotted by paying the fee in the institute.
• Make sure you have all important documents – original and photocopy (attested where needed). The details can be found from the respective college’s website.
• There are multiple levels of counselling and students can appear for the 2nd and 3rd rounds as well.

2. Online Mode

• Candidates can choose colleges of their choice after paying the registration or counselling fee.
• After the registration is complete and the registration period ends, candidates can print the choices they have filled for future use.
• Based on the choices filled, merit, and seats available, candidates are allotted seats.
• Once the seat is allotted to a candidate, fees should be paid online or by E-challan.
• After the payment is through, the Online Provisional Admission letter is available for download confirming admission.

• Candidates can opt for 2 MAT IBT/PBT+IBT/CBT+IBT/PBT+CBT tests by paying an extra fee of Rs.1100/- in addition to Rs.1650/-.
• Candidates opting for 2 MAT IBTs/PBT+IBT/CBT+IBT/PBT+CBT will have the benefit of selecting additional 2 Management Institutes for sending their scores in addition to the existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes i.e. they can select 7 Management Institutes in total.
• Register online with Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card), Net Banking, UPI and Paytm wallet. The fee details are given as below:
