Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2022 Selection Procedure

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is another important and widely recognized National level management entrance examination. CMAT 2022 is an examination for admission to management programme courses for the 2022-23 academic sessions. Many reputed, AICTE approved institutions consider CMAT to shortlist candidates based on their scores in this exam

The CMAT 2022 Selection Procedure can be broken down into the following parts for ease of understanding.

CMAT 2022 Written Exam

CMAT 2022 is the first step in the CMAT selection process. The written exam is expected to be held by March 2022. At this stage, hundreds of thousands of applicants appear for the examination. The written exam is of 3 hours, an additional 30 minutes will be given to candidates appearing for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship section. The exam will have five sections namely Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (Optional). Each section will have 25 questions with 4 marks each. There will be negative marking as well.

CMAT 2022 Result Announcement

National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon announce the CMAT 2022 result. The candidates who qualify CMAT 2022 cutoff will be shortlisted and called for Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interaction (PI), and Writing Ability Test (WAT) rounds.

GD, PI, and WAT Rounds

The shortlisted candidates appear for GD; PI and WAT rounds individually in the respective AICTE approved CMAT score 2022 accepting colleges. The selection process is unique to each college and may conduct all or any number of rounds. Please keep the following things in mind:

• The candidates must keep the CMAT 2022 Admit Card and CMAT 2022 scorecard for the GD; PI and WAT rounds.
• The candidates must attend all components/tests of the selection process of the CMAT 2022 exam to qualify for the CMAT final merit list 2022.

Group Discussion:

1. Groups are made of 7-10 individuals. Each group is given a topic, which ranges from current affairs in the field of politics, economics, sports, or socially relevant topics.
2. Candidates are judged on various skills such as – communication, leadership, negotiation, managerial, and leadership.

Writing Ability Test:

1. The CMAT selection process in certain colleges also has a WAT round where candidates are given a topic on current affairs.
2. Candidates are judged on their written and grammar skills.

Personal Interview:

1. A panel of 3-4 people interviews the candidates individually. This round is essential to know the candidates personally, interact with them, and understand their aspirations.
2. Candidates are judged on their communication skills and past academic performance.

Final Merit List Announcement

This is the final stage of the selection procedure. At this stage, the colleges will release the final merit list with the names of individuals based on their performance in various rounds.
